Hi Fancy Readers! This post is about some things which everybody could recycle.
Recycling is a way to conserve natural resources by recycle metals, paper, plastic, glass, and other materials used in packaging, industry, factories and turning them into new and usable products.
Successful recycling involves a three step process: collecting the material; processing it, which can include sorting, compacting, and transporting it to the buyer; and finally, remanufacturing the material into new items. One of recycling is many benefits is its conservation of energy and resources; its popularity is increasing with public awareness of environmental issues.
There are many things we could recycle:
Eyeglasses: Old eyeglasses can be donated to a variety of organizations like the Lions Club.
Computers: There are a couple of ways to get rid of your old computer. If it still works, you can donate it to someone less fortunate. If it’s a dud, you should contact your local recycling center.
Cell phones: Cell phones can be recycled, so parts can be re used or the whole phone refurbished.
Batteries: If you’re not already using rechargeable batteries, please consider doing it.
Magazines:Take these to the recycling center or see if a hospital, senior citizen home or library can use them.
Clothes: Don’t throw old clothes away. You have so many choices!
Albums and CDs: Bring your old albums and CDs to rare or second hand record shops.
Fluorescent Bulbs: Fluorescent light bulbs contain mercury which is considered hazardous waste. The mercury in bulbs can be
used to make new bulbs. Do not throw your bulbs in the trash, contact
your local recycling center.
Leaves: Reuse your leaves and also find out how make cool things, you could send them to the recycling center too.
